Work Book Club

A few co-workers and I have talked about putting together a work book club for some time but just never quite got it organized and off the ground. Then, last month when schools shut down and we transitioned to distance learning, we wondered if it was a worse time to start a book club (we can't physically meet after school and are swamped with new technology/strategies to meet student needs, as well as, structures/schedules to meet the needs of our children who are also schooling from home) or if it was maybe an even better time to begin (we miss sharing with each other every day and would find reprieve in meeting-albeit virtually-and discussing books and stories). We decided book club is a necessary tool of sanity during this time and we selected our first title, held a virtual kick-off meeting, and will have our first discussion meeting in a few weeks.
